If your pet requires hospitalization, there are a number of things you can expect.
- Your pet will be attended 24 hours a day. At no time will your pet be alone in the hospital.
- You will be contacted at least once per day by a veterinarian in charge of your pet’s care. You are welcome to call at any time for an update. A member of the veterinary staff will speak with you if the doctor is tending to another patient.
- If there is a problem or a change in your pet’s condition, we will contact you at any time, day or night.
- You are welcome to visit your pet while he or she is hospitalized.
- You can expect to be kept abreast of the costs incurred by your
pet while in the hospital. Typically we try to do this once per day.
- We will communicate with your primary care veterinarian regarding your pet’s condition.
- You can expect to be well informed about the care your pet will require when you take him or her home. Detailed instructions will be reviewed with you in person at the time of discharge from the hospital. Any questions you may have will be clarified prior to you leaving the hospital.
